Repubblica: Elliott are willing to invest the necessary fee to bring De Ketelaere to Milan

By Euan Burns -

Elliott Management are willing to invest the necessary €35 million to bring Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge to AC Milan, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Repubblica today, Elliott are willing to pay what it takes to bring De Ketelaere to the club as soon as possible as everyone is in agreement that the Belgian youngster is worth the investment.

Stefano Pioli stated during his press conference at Milanello on Monday that he expects quality reinforcements from the club in the transfer market to try and take the team to the next level.

The directors are working to make sure that he gets exactly that and they have settled on De Ketelaere as the first signing.

The Belgian champions have requested at least €30 million for him but given other clubs will inevitably bid, it is known that it will take €35 million and that is what Elliott are willing to invest.

  1. So invest and close the deal already,or you waiting for new psg or newcastle to jump in with higher offer ? Our owners are so lazy and slow its unbelievable

  2. Then freaking do it!! .. Elliott is willing to invest, Maldini has kept an eye on him for a while, he’s young, good and with tons of potential… then what’s the delay?
    I think it’s BS.

  3. Charles De Ketelaere – 35 mil too expensive for a player playing in Belgium league. Out there many more better player.

    1. For instance? Berardi? Mo salah? Lewandowski? Nkunku? Vinicius jr? Mbappe? Must have decent scoring and assisting skill.

    2. you win games by scoring….Dybala can put the ball in the goal, he is a threat for 6m, CDK for 30m is not a threat.

  4. 25mil + 5mil bonusses seems fair. He playes in weak League after all. What worries me the most is that he isn’t really a RW but more of a CF and SS. Im not sure where will he fit in Milan, we already have Adli for the AM/SS role in our set up, and 2or3 CF’s up front who at the moment are as good or if not even better then him. What we really need is to invest in a top RW. He is a good talent but im just not sure how much will he fit in the RW position, which obviously is the position that we need to invest in the most.

  5. @Rossi, what if Adli was to be considered in the place of Bennacer?
Bennacer is not inspiring confidence with his renewal and if we buy Sanches, I don’t think that Bennacer would want to be third choice behind Sanches and Tonali.

  6. Well, would have preferred
    AM – Dybala
    RW – Asensio

Dybala is a beast when fit and injury free.

But it appears we’re going for
    AM – CDK
    RW – Ziyech

Still very decent additions it would be, especially CDK because of his potential, I hope Ziyech can stay fit and injury free.

But if we can get RW – Ziyech or Asensio,
and sign both Dybala and CDK for AM, I will recommend we end Diaz’s loan so he can return to Madrid, I think he’s too weak for the Serie A.

  7. Kaka cost 22 million. He never played in Europe before the move. That turned out pretty well. I think? Milan never pay huge amounts for players. They make calculated decisions. Even under Berlusconi. Milan has just won the league with a team of players. Not superstars. Forget about buying big name players. It was never the Milan model. I trust Maldini, who is a man who bleeds red and black.

  8. He is better for AMF compare to another AC Milan target like dybala or traore. Physical tall different from brahim/dybala . Suitable for pioli high press tactic . 5 m euro loan + obligation to buy if finish top 4 serie A 30m euro already fair offer for brugge or 25m euro cash + bonus 5m euro bonus. I believe CDK will get same level as kevin de bruyne in 2-3 years with AC Milan

  9. @acmicklano Kaka cost 8 million euro-s with Berlusconi saying that “we bought him for a box of banana-s” … in other words very cheap.

Milan paid around 20 mill for Pato though, not sure if you’re mixing the two up.

    1. You’re absolutely correct. Was on the whiskey last night, and mixed the two up. Pato for 22m would have been peanuts too if he’d been able to live up to his potential.

  10. Dybala problem is his weak stamina, Alegri complained about it, the player can barley play one half on full form. CDK physically is very good, and he has the potential to be the best in Europe
