Milan are in the market for a midfielder, among other things, that can act as the third-choice behind Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie. They will struggle to get one of their targets, though, a report claims.
Last night, Calciomercato.com reported that the Rossoneri are one of three teams interested in Samuele Ricci. The Empoli starlet has impressed many after a successful season in Serie B, performing at a high level despite his young age.
The likes of Fiorentina, Milan and Borussia Dortmund are interested in the 18-year-old, who has a price tag of €15m. Paolo Maldini would like to lower this figure, though it seems it will be tough for the club legend to do so.
In an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss, as cited by MilanNews.it, Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi sent a warning to the teams interested. He made it clear that they are under no pressure to sell their starlet, stating that they want to keep him.
“We don’t need to sell and we want to keep Samuele. He is a player of great perspective,” he stated.
