Fabrizio Romano: Rumours linking €50m Milan star with Spurs and Real Madrid are ‘not true’

By Oliver Fisher -

Fabrizio Romano has denied that AC Milan star Franck Kessie is closing in on a move to either Spurs or Real Madrid amid speculation about his future.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.it) reported yesterday that Milan intend to enter talks with Kessie to avoid reaching the summer with only one year left on his contract, especially given that with this season’s performances there are many top clubs ready to tempt him with big offers.

This is why Maldini and Massara would like to avoid finding themselves in a tough situation and want to find an agreement for a contract renewal with a pay rise for a player who has seen his value rocket to €50m.

SportMediaset (via MilanNews) then reported how the Ivorian has attracted the attention of some top European clubs – in particular Real Madrid and Chelsea – so they want him to sign the extension as soon as possible.

According to what Fabrizio Romano has reported on his podcast ‘Here We Go!’, the rumours about a potential move to England or Spain for Franck Kessie are not true.

“Rumours about Franck Kessié to Tottenham or Real Madrid are not true,” he said (via R1F).
