Footmercato: Arsenal director ‘had a phone call’ with Milan star Leao over summer move

Rafael Leao appears destined to leave AC Milan at the end of the season and several clubs are monitoring his situation. According to a report, Arsenal director Andrea Berta has even had a phone call with the winger.

Despite 12 goals and 13 assists in all competitions, many would label Leao’s season as a disappointment due to ups and downs, with little to no consistency. And after six years with the Rossoneri, it appears he could now be heading for the door.

DAZN reported earlier today that there is a ‘high probability’ of Leao making his final game with Milan tonight, taking on Monza at San Siro. Adding fuel to the fire, Footmercato’s Santi Aouna is now saying that Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta ‘had a phone call’ with the winger.

For now, however, Arsenal are still evaluating their options on the mercato and are yet to make a final decision. Still, the fact Leao was called shows there is a concrete interest, which could potentially result in official negotiations in a few weeks.

Sky Germany reported last night that Bayern Munich have held contacts with Leao’s entourage, probing the ground for a potential move in the summer. In short, things are happening around the Milan No.10 and where there’s smoke…

    1. Exactly 90 million and they can have them! You can invest the money in Assane Diao, Ricci and Ryan Cherki. Better than loosing REIJNDERS would be difficult to replace him!

      1. Assane Diao is a interesting one, but i don’t get the hype about Ricci. I have to admit i haven’t seen any Torino games, except the ones versus Milan. But i have seen his stats, and no.. I’m not talking about G/A.. But his contributions versus our own midfielders, and he doesn’t reach the knees of the likes of Reijnders/Fofana or even Loftus Cheek

  1. I would sell him with my eyes closed. He’s Lazy, uninspired, very predictable.
Sell.him and bring a player who can play 2 games in a row good not like this sloth.

  2. Next season top 10 will be the target. Good luck for the guys who will leave, there is no reasons for good playrs to stay in this s. Show.

  3. My biggest fear is not Leao, Reijnders, Theo leaving. It’s having the same clowns who f*cked up in first place, now fixing this f*ckup.

  4. So while Milan are talking player sales and being linked to one mediocre player after the other, Napoli, who are 20pts + ahead are on the brink of bringing in Kevin DeBruyne?

  5. Yeahh finally bro.. reijnders + leao could be sold. Leao at arsenal could be another Thierry Henry 2.0 and reijnders at city could be another de bruyne 2.0… please buy them all. Milan summer sale !!!
Milan need some money for next season. So Milan can build new team around pulisic + gimenez.

  6. Leão, another Henry- lol. Reports are he’s a secondary target at the big clubs. If Leão leaves ACM can start playing a structured, team attack- ball movement, switch of play, different points of attack, a defensive structure when they lose the ball, and so on.
