AC Milan’s former sporting director, Rocco Maiorino, has revealed to Corriere Dello Sport what he believes is one of the Rossoneri’s biggest transfer missed during his spell at the club.

“A missed signing? Rabiot in August 2014. Unfortunately, we failed to complete the signing as he renewed his contract with PSG. As a sporting director, I proposed the idea to Galliani and we tried to take him to Milan.

“However, we didn’t succeed, although we were close. In the last minute, he decided to renew with PSG and at that time has wasn’t very well known, so it could’ve been an important transfer,” Maiorino concluded.
