CM: French midfielder is training with Milan whilst future is decided

By Euan Burns -

French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is training with AC Milan whilst his future is decided by his agents and the club, a report claims.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com today, Bakayoko has a very uncertain future at Milan given he had limited involvement last season and is clearly not a key part of Stefano Pioli’s plans.

The midfielder is still actually owned by Chelsea and has come to the end of the first year of a two-year loan spell. There is an obligation for Milan to buy the player at the end of the loan period from Chelsea.

The former Monaco man made 18 appearances for the Rossoneri last season but the majority of those were made from the bench with multiple midfielders ahead of him in the pecking order.

It is not clear if Milan intend to get out of the deal with Chelsea or if they want to find a way to loan him out elsewhere.

  1. why doesn’t this man have to give an explanation for that? with 6million salary i pay 3x teenager super talents and not baka for bench. For me this was 100% clear, although I have seen only 5-10 Napoli games in 2020 – horribla bad and slow and rich.. 😉

  2. He’s halfway through a two-year contract, I don’t see how this is news. It’s only news if he moves. What this article currently says is “Milan player goes to training”

  3. Well, I hope he finds his feet this season, as we need everyone to raise their levels.
I strongly believe he’s a good player, and when playing at his level like he played in his first loan spell, he can make the absence of Kessie unfelt.

He brings muscle to the midfield, I remember Gattuso comparing him to Desailly in some matches, I think his problem is rather mental than ability, I think if properly motivated, he can be a great player, he was arguably one of the best DM in Serie A during that loan term, with the way he wins the ball effortlessly with muscle, he has a trademark way of turning when transitioning from defence to attack, I used to like him.

  4. Just let him wait and spend the second year. He might find his outstanding form this time around.
For the fact that he’s behind in the pecking order should fuel him into improving, and proving himself again.
All in all… This is his last chance.

  5. No, ship him out and clear the squad for Pobega. Tonali, Bennacer, Pobega and hopefully Sanches should be our midfielders for next season.
