Manchester United plan to take a look at Hakan Calhanoglu first hand when they face AC Milan in the Europa League last 16, a report claims.
Sporting director Ricky Massara recently said the club are confident of keeping both Calhanoglu and Gianluigi Donnarumma beyond the end of the season, but Bild journalist Christian Falk told us late last year that there is a ’90 per cent’ chance that the former ends up at United this summer.

Now, The Express are reporting that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will scout the former Bayer Leverkusen man when they face Milan in the next round of the Europa.
The Turkey international has scored once in five games in the competition this season, and while United already have Bruno Fernandes to play the No.10 role they appear to be attentive to the possibility of adding a quality reinforcement for zero transfer fee.
It must be noted that Calhanoglu came off at half-time in last night’s win over Roma with a muscle problem and is expected to be evaluated in the coming days, so the extent of the damage is not yet known.
