Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo has decided to stay at the club this summer despite interest from Milan, according to a report.
The Rossoneri have already signed a centre-back this summer in Leo Duarte, who arrived from Flamengo in an €11million deal as a replacement for Cristian Zapata.
Last month however, France Football linked Milan with a move for Barcelona’s Todibo, who they signed from Toulouse in January.
It was claimed that the Catalan club could choose to loan the 19-year-old out as they want him to gain experience after he made just two LaLiga appearances since joining.
Spanish outlet Don Balon even suggested that Milan are willing to pay €25m in order to secure his signature.
However, Le10Sport (via Sportsmole) are now reporting that Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has offered the 19-year-old assurances over his playing time this season.
As a result, Todibo is now ready to snub interest from Milan – as well as Ajax and Lille – in order to stay and fight for a spot with the Catalan giants.
