From Spain: Firpo wants permanent Barca exit and has given priority to Milan

By Isak Möller -

Milan have identified the perfect left-back signing on the market, namely Junior Firpo, and negotiations are ongoing with Barcelona. As Diego Laxalt is leaving the club, it’s certainly a necessary signing for the Rossoneri.

According to SPORT journalist Toni Juanmarti, there is optimism that Milan and Barcelona will be able to reach an agreement for the transfer. Firpo has given priority to the Rossoneri as he prefers them over a move to the Premier League.

Furthermore, his personal situation has changed and he’s now willing to leave the Catalan side and try his luck elsewhere. In fact, he would prefer a permanent exit and it remains to be seen if that will be the formula of the deal.

Previous reports have suggested that it could be a loan with an option to buy, but either way, it seems the conditions are there to reach an agreement. It’s just a matter a time, or at least so it seems.
