Milan have managed to regain their form after what was a rocky start to 2021, most recently drawing 1-1 away at Man Utd and getting a 2-0 win away at Hellas Verona. Franck Kessie has been a key player in making this happen.
The Ivorian midfielder was simply stunning against Man Utd and has earned the MOTM award several games in a row. That says a lot about how well he has done this season, constantly performing on a good level.
His contract with the Rossoneri will expire in 2022 and in order to avoid another Donnarumma-esque situation, Milan will have to start negotiations very soon. This is what today’s Italian newspapers focused on.
“Everyone likes Kessie”, Gazzetta Dello Sport started and followed that up with “Premier League watches on, Milan must renew him!”. Tuttosport wrote “Everyone wants super Kessie. Milan, renew him!”.
