Gallery: ‘A heartbreaker’, ‘Giroud, goals and rage’ – Today’s front pages in Italy

AC Milan failed to clinch all three points against Napoli despite heading into the half-time break with a 2-0 lead. It was a great game for the neutral, as highlighted by today’s papers, but the Rossoneri are understandably disappointed.

Olivier Giroud scored two goals in quick succession within the first 30 minutes, proving that he still has a lot to give when the service is right. However, Napoli managed to score two goals themselves at the start of the second half, completing the comeback.

On the front page, Gazzetta dello Sport wrote the following: “Napoli-Milan is a heartbreaker. What a show at the Maradona. Garcia comeback holds Pioli from 0-2 to 2-2. Giroud brace and anger: ‘We dropped points, it’s disappointing’.”

Tuttosport: “Giroud, goals and rage. Milan have lost their way, Napoli thank them for it. From 0-2 to 2-2, Leao furious too. The Frenchman and Rafa enraged by their substitution.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Napoli, what a reaction, comeback against Milan (2-2). Giroud with a brace, then Politano and Raspadori.”
