Luciano Spalletti’s side were able to leapfrog the Rossoneri (who only got a draw) in the last round as they scored a late winner against Lazio. They are only ahead on goal difference, though, as the H2H situation will be settled today.

On their front page, Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote the following about the game: “Napoli-Milan, Scudetto fight. Tonight first place is up for grabs. Osimhen-Giroud, who shoots? And Ibra reappears on the bench”.
Tuttosport had a similar headline: “Ibra is lurking. Scudetto challenge at the Maradona between Napoli and Milan. The Swede is back in Pioli’s squad, absent for a month and a half”.
Corriere Dello Sport wrote this: “80s-style Napoli vs. Milan. Whoever wins overtakes Inter at the top”.
