AC Milan will be back in action this evening as they will face Salernitana away from home. They have three consecutive wins (all comps) in the bag and will be looking to extend that run, with Olivier Giroud up front.
Milan are currently one point ahead of Inter in the standings and they would move to +4 points with a win tonight. The Nerazzurri will play Sassuolo tomorrow and they also have a game in hand, it should be noted. But there’s no doubt the Rossoneri can put pressure on them.
On their front page, Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote the following: “Milan, No.9 strength. Milan dream of the Scudetto with the bomber Giroud up front in the fight at the top”.
Tuttosport had a similar front page: “‘Milan, you can win them all’. Pioli energises, the goal is +4 [on Inter]. Nicolo attempts to kickstart salvation at his debut [new Salernitana coach].
Corriere Dello Sport also made the most of Pioli’s quote: “Milan in Salerno to fly to +4. Pioli: ‘We can win them all'”.
