Galliani suggests Furlani will be able to crack ‘tough nut’ agent in Zirkzee talks

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are currently in talks with Joshua Zirkzee’s agent over the transfer commission requested by the latter, with a tough path to an agreement expected. However, as stated by Adriano Gallian, Giorgio Furlani should get the job done.

Olivier Giroud said goodbye to Milan at the end of this past season and a new striker is now needed, with Zirkzee at the top of the wish list. The Rossoneri have already made it clear that they are willing to pay the €40m release clause, which would make him the third-most expensive signing.

During the presentation for the book about Silvio Berlusconi last night, the former Milan CEO Adriano Galliani spoke to the reporters present and shared his thoughts on the Zirkzee rumours. Knowing the agent Kia Joorabchian well, he stated that Milan should get there in the end.

“He’s a friend, I know him well, but Giorgio Furlani is very good, he’s like Giotto with Cimabue. I congratulate him and he will know how to get by even with Kia, who is a friend but also a tough nut to crack,” he stated as cited by MilanNews24.

It remains to be seen what the outcome will be but one thing is certain: Milan will not pay the €15m requested by the agent. It would have to be a significantly lower figure for the Rossoneri to close the deal, otherwise they will turn to other targets.

      1. And has stirred Milans finances since de Eliott days…. milan has the best financial discipline among top clubs in europe and while we are no where near the revenue of english clubs, we dont have a stadium, we dont have a Oligarch/dictator bankrolling us, we can self generate a budget of near 100M in transfers!!!!

Thats what good finances does… we are competing and we still have more to go.
It is possible, to compete against oligarch arab money clubs, without going bankrupt like inter….making good investment and reinvestment decisions unlike what barcelona did to get to where they are at….

    1. There’s only one imbecile around here, it isn’t Furlani. What exactly are you complaining for? All the major targets were signed last season, Tonali was sold for a massive profit. Leao resigned. Camardi signed. Why are you complaining? Because you’re a complete buffoon? Complain when there’s an actual reason to complain. No club needs ‘fans’ like you.

  1. With the way football is now, with player salaries , agents fees, inflated transfer fees, clubs need to employ people such as Furlani, people who will deal with the economic side of things, but you also need a team of people with a solid football background , they are the ones that do the work in the sport side of the clubs, when their work is done, and they have selected players they want to acquire, then the money men like Furlani get involved in the negotiations.
Right now in terms of the financial aspects, and the commercial opportunities been created daily at Milan , the club is in very good shape, by the time the U23 side is launched, things will even be better.
As a club and as a business AC Milan is on the right track, the sporting side will gradually improve, and by the time the Stadium issue is fully settled, this club will have a very bright future…

Right, they’re going to walk away over €15 million when the other targets are more expensive & unproven in Serie A. There is no other target below €55 million (€40m + €15m commission) aside from Guirassy, whose 28 and looks 38, which is why no one is touching him.

  3. How the deal with Zee goes down will tell a lot whether Furlani is solid under pressure. Kia asking for an arm and a leg. Let’s see what Furlani can do.
