GdS: A. Donnarumma and Kjaer to start against SPAL; possible formation change

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan got back to winning ways this weekend as they beat Cagliari away from home. After a spell of poor performances, it was certainly nice to see the Rossoneri claim the three points, deservedly as well.

However, there is no time for Stefano Pioli’s men to celebrate, as the Coppa Italia clash against SPAL will take place on Wednesday evening. Of course, given that it’s a cup game, a few changes to the starting eleven are expected.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport this morning (via SempreMilan.com), Simon Kjaer will make his debut for the Rossoneri straight away. In fact, Pioli is keen on getting the defender going, as his last appearance dates back to November.

In addition to the Danish international, Antonio Donnarumma is set to replace his younger brother, Gigio, as the latter is injured. Although not confirmed by the newspapers, there have also been rumours of Pioli potentially going back to the 4-3-3.
