GdS: AC Milan make intentions clear over Leao ahead of January

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan continue to dream about the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. In the meantime, they hope that Kris Piatek will be able to break out. However, it might not be enough for the Polish international.

As has been made pretty clear in recent reports, underlined by Gazzetta Dello Sport this morning (via MilanNews.it), one striker will have to leave the Rossoneri if Ibrahimovic arrives. Therefore, there has been speculation about Rafael Leao and Piatek.

The newspaper, on the other hand, suggests that there is one certainty in the attack: Leao. The Portuguese youngster, who arrived from Lille this summer, won’t leave Milanello in January, not even on loan.

The arrival of the experienced Swede, instead, could be a reason to keep Leao. Per the report, the 20-year-old would learn a lot from the former Milan man. In other words, Piatek might be on his way out in January, although it seems he doesn’t want to leave.
