He’s a great dream for the fans. In recent years, no one has left his mark as Ibrahimovic did at Milan. However, as reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), the Rossoneri will have to make sacrifices.
In other words, they will have to sell some players. As the newspaper continues, those who could leave the club are Borini, Kessie and Rodriguez. Should they depart with the trio, then it would add another €60m to the club’s bank account.
A total of €35m is expected from the Ivorian, another €10m from the Italian striker and finally at least €17m from the Swiss full-back. These figures also include the savings on their wages, per the report.
With a little bit more money, therefore, the Ibrahimovic operation could take off. According to the report, the idea of returning to Milan stimulates the striker, although he has some reservations (he doesn’t want to overshadow the memories of the past).
The Rossoneri could offer the Swede a salary of around €4m per year, but for how long? As the newspaper asks, would it make sense to offer a two-year deal to a 38-year-old? A six-month contract seems more likely, although ‘Ibra’ wants a longer one.
