Arsenal are refusing to sell midfielder Lucas Torreira despite strong interest from AC Milan, one journalist claims.
The Rossoneri have apparently made Torreira their number one priority for the midfield this summer, as new head coach Marco Giampaolo dreams of a reunion with the former Sampdoria star.
Di Marzio reported on Tuesday night that Torreira now has given his full availability for a move to Milan, and the player himself was even asked about it during a press conference with the Uruguay national team at the Copa America on Wednesday.
Now, journalist Nicolo Schira from La Gazzetta dello Sport has delivered bad news for Milan fans by confirming that the Gunners have no plans at all to sell their prized anchorman.
He claims that Unai Emery has made the player non-transferable and fully believes the player’s words today about being happy with Arsenal.
Schira adds that Milan’s bid of a two-year loan for €5million with obligation to buy was rejected by the London club.
It’s confirmed! #Arsenal would not sell Lucas #Torreira. According Unai #Emery is not transferable and today Torreira have confirmed that he wants to remain. Meanwhile the #Milan’s bid is rejected (€5M to get him on loan for 2 year). #transfers #AFC
