GdS: Brahim’s future remains in limbo as Milan ponder €22m clause

By Isak Möller -

Brahim Diaz was one of the best players for AC Milan in their 2-0 win against Juventus, getting on the scoresheet after a great solo run. However, his future with the club is still in limbo, as a report highlights.

The Spaniard first arrived at the club in the summer of 2020 on a season-long loan. Milan and Real Madrid then agreed to sign a new two-year loan, also including a €22m buy-out clause and a €27m buy-back in favour of the Spanish side.

Diaz’s spell at Milan hasn’t been hugely successful and it remains to be seen if he can use yesterday’s goal to spark a period of consistent success. In that case, the Rossoneri would have to seriously consider the €22m clause.

As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan will not rush the decision as – after all – they have the rest of the season and a little more to decide. As such, it’s very important for Brahim to continue on this path if he wants to stay.

  1. If Milan was to buy Diaz and Real actives the buy back clause Milan would have spent a total of 28.2 millions between salary, paid loan and the option to buy at end of loan!

  2. There is no chance Milan pays 22 mil or even half that for Brahim Diaz.
He will be at another club next year and people should stop overreacting after 1 goal vs statuesque Bonucci. He didn’t do anything else the other 60 minutes he was on the field.
Last week we read the sane comments about Ballo Toure after he scored a goal vs Empoli and then reality check vs Chelsea

  3. He is improving. Let us enjoy him tear Chelsea apart. Forza Milan. Join AC Milan Global Fan Base on +233248637248
