GdS: Chelsea could bank €20m as outcast says yes to Milan and salary cut – the latest

Between renewals and sales, Milan are also following the market with great interest as they look to reinforce a squad that, in recent weeks, has given positive signs to the Rossoneri ownership and environment.

Among the departments that need reinforcing, undoubtedly, there is the midfield that too often has seen Ismael Bennacer and Franck work overtime. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Tiemoue Bakayoko seems to be the target.

In fact, the Rossoneri have reached an agreement in principle with the player for the reunion. The French midfielder, after a disappointing season at Monaco, has never hidden his desire to return to the Rossoneri.

However, up until now, the deal has been complicated due to the high salary. This is something that Bakayoko is willing to lower, though, understanding that Milan is the right place for him to relaunch his career.

The agreement, per the newspaper, was found in the last few hours and there is now just one more obstacle to overcome. Chelsea have slapped a €20m price tag on the 25-year-old and although it’s less than the €40m they paid, Milan want to lower it.

The basis of the negotiations could be a loan with an obligation to buy. The conditions for Bakayoko’s return to the Rossoneri, therefore, seem to be there and it remains to be seen if a deal can be reached.
