GdS: Donnarumma tells AC Milan he wants to stay

By Isak Möller -

Despite the rumours this summer, Gigio Donnarumma is set to stay at AC Milan. As reported by La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the goalkeeper is happy at the club, thus telling the management that he wants to remain the club.

At the start of the season, the youngster was heavily linked with a move to PSG, as Leonardo wanted to reunite with the player in Paris. However, Milan didn’t receive any offers that satisfied their demands, and thus the interest cooled off.

With just one week to go until the season starts, Donnarumma is still at the club. In other words, it doesn’t look like he is going anywhere this summer, unless a good offer arrives. However, the latter option remains unlikely and Milan are already planning for the renewal.

As Gazzetta Dello Sport points out, the Rossoneri will focus on the renewals of Donnarumma and Suso once the transfer window closes. The goalkeeper’s current deal expires in 2021, and Milan will aim to extend this.
