GdS: Ibrahimovic between Milan, Napoli and retirement as Rossoneri grow impatient

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still reflecting upon his future amid links with moves to AC Milan and Napoli, a report claims.

Paolo Maldini admitted ahead of Sunday’s game against Sassuolo that the situation is becoming more difficult as time passes, suggesting that alternatives may have to be looked at.

On Monday, Gianluca Di Marzio – who spoke in the Sky Italia studios (via MilanNews.it) – stated that the words of Maldini and Boban have essentially confirmed the information he has received in that a return for Ibra is becoming increasingly unlikely.

According to a report on Calciomercato.com – who cite La Gazzetta dello Sport – Milan will not wait long for Ibrahimovic’s response.

The Swedish striker is apparently still reflecting on his future: one day he thinks of his return to the Rossoneri, one day he thinks about Napoli, the next day retirement.

Making a decision is difficult, something which Zvonomor Boban and Paolo Maldini are understanding of, but the fact he hasn’t played since October means that the call needs to come soon if he is to join the group and reach fitness soon.

The long pause continues to worry Milan: the more time passes, the more distant the idea of Ibra’s return becomes.

Meanwhile, it appears an alternative is already being lined up
