GdS: Ibrahimovic expected to be back for Milan’s clash against Hellas Verona

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still struggling with his Achilles tendon and is currently recovering from the issue. Although he won’t be called up for tomorrow’s clash, he should be back after the break.

The international break will start next week and Ibrahimovic was called up by Sweden’s head coach Janne Andersson. The striker, however, has decided to turn down that option and will remain at Milanello to continue his recovery.

As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), both Milan and Ibrahimovic believe that he should be back for the game against Hellas Verona after the break. It will certainly be a boost for Stefano Pioli, given the Swede’s importance.

Tomorrow, Ibrahimovic will turn 40 and the best birthday gift Milan can give him is to win against Atalanta. They won that fixture last season by two goals to nil and will be looking to replicate that performance tomorrow.
