GdS: Ibrahimovic flies to Sweden to clear his mind; meeting with Gazidis postponed

By Isak Möller -

To stay or not, that’s the dilemma. In short, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future at AC Milan remains very uncertain, and the Swede is now reflecting on what to decide at the end of this season.

As reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), the 38-year-old boarded a private flight to Stockholm on Thursday evening, reuniting with his wife and children in the Swedish capital.

However, in the end, Ibrahimovic will make a decision based on what is best for his career, although he has held the needs of his loved ones in high esteem. This will be the case this time out as well.

Per the newspaper, the striker was happy at the club and was already planning for the future with Zvone Boban and Paolo Maldini. However, as the former has now left the club – and Maldini could soon follow – Ibrahimovic’s situation has also changed.

Now, he will have to deal with CEO Ivan Gazidis instead. The meeting between the two has been postponed and it’s not yet known when the face-to-face encounter will take place.
