GdS: Ibrahimovic’s knee is clean as recovery should take about two months

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic should be back just in time for the Serie A opener at the end of August, having undergone surgery on his knee. However, the Swede will face a very strict challenge to get the best recovery.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the 39-year-old opted for surgery as the conservative therapy didn’t give the desired results. Instead of a recovery with uncertainty, therefore, Ibrahimovic will now have a clear plan.

The knee has been cleaned and it should take about two months for the striker to be back in full swing. In other words, he should have just enough time to make it back for the Serie A opener, which will take place around the 22nd of August.

Of course, it’s also possible that the recovery could take a tad longer and then he would miss the first games. Perhaps Milan would be forced to act on the market if so, but that’s something for another day.
