GdS: Ibrahimovic’s recovery time revealed as he will miss Milan vs. Juventus

By Isak Möller -

As if Milan didn’t have enough problems with injuries, Zlatan Ibrahimovic picked up a new injury during training yesterday, just as he had returned from another one. The Swede will be on the sidelines for quite some time.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanLive), Ibrahimovic will be unavailable until at least mid-January. This means that he definitely will miss the games against Benevento, Juventus and Torino, but Cagliari on the 18th is also at risk.

Of course, it will be necessary to assess his condition during the recovery process, but about four weeks should be enough for him to recover. Unless Milan decide to sign a new striker, therefore, it will be up to Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao.

Both are very talented but just haven’t produced in the centre-forward role this season. The Rossoneri will take on Sassuolo tomorrow and it remains to be seen who will be deployed up front by Stefano Pioli.
