GdS: Three key decisions RedBird must make for Milan shortly – the situation

By Isak Möller -

After reaching the important agreement with Elliott Management, RedBird and Gerry Cardinale now need to make a few key decisions. The takeover will be fully completed in September, but that doesn’t matter now.

As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Milan players will be back at Milanello for the pre-season in 22 days. Not all of them, due to international duty and extended vacation, but still many of them. And the season, which starts August 13-14, is 62 days away.

While the fans should enjoy the Scudetto win, Milan and RedBird must look forward and plan for the upcoming season. There are three key decisions that Cardinale must make very soon, per the report, starting with the renewals of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.

Then, the budget for the transfer window must be fully defined, as well as the overall strategy for it. Milan obviously want to remain in the running for the Scudetto and also do better in the Champions League, finishing last in their group this past season.

The three aforementioned decisions, therefore, will be important in that sense and they need to be defined very soon.
