AC Milan will take on Bologna this evening and one player that certainly will be in the spotlight is Rafael Leao. He didn’t have the best of games vs. Atalanta and has also been linked with a Chelsea move.
The Portuguese winger was a key player for Milan last season and his quality is rather undeniable. We are still waiting for this season’s breakthrough, though, and Leao will have to show that he isn’t distracted by the mercato.
As per today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Leao has trained with great serenity over the last few days and is not distracted by the mercato. He’s happy at the club and is eager to prove himself on the pitch tonight.
Whether it will result in a renewal or not, however, is a different question but Leao’s commitment in the present cannot be questioned. And the only way for him to really calm the fans is to start performing like we know he can.

If he played well against Bologna then this news is true. But if not, we can call it bs.
Chelsea definitely have Concrete interest on Leao but not enough time to finalize a 120mil purchase as Milan doesnt have time to reinforce the team either considering that we have UCL to compete in and that’s also in the same group as Chelsea.
I would hope that either a renewal or a sale to go through in the winter window.
Now, lets hope leao gets his form back to get his price up so we can sell him for a big sum in case he doesnt renew.
