GdS: Milan and Arsenal target wants Napoli move but club baulk at €55m asking price

By Oliver Fisher -

Striker Victor Osimhen has told his current club Lille that he wants a move to Napoli this summer, a report claims, but there is an obstacle.

Calciomercato.com recently reported that Milan are looking at potential replacements for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and while Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic is the priority, Osimhen is also a player the club are watching.

The latest from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claimed that Milan are not the only team keen on the 21-year-old, as Premier League trio Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are also credited with interest.

In the last few days rumours of strong interest from Napoli has arrived, with speculation claiming that Osimhen has agreed personal terms ahead of a possible move to the Partenopei.

According to Wednesday’s paper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Osimhen has informed Lille officials that he is very attracted by the idea of continuing his career at Napoli.

However the stumbling block remains: president Aurelio De Laurentiis would like to invest just over half of the €55million requested by the French side, so around €30m.
