GdS: Milan boss Pioli has three certainties on the left side of his team

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach has three certainties at his disposal down the left side of his team at present, according to a report.

Pioli took over from Marco Giampaolo last month, who lasted just 111 days after being hired in the summer, losing seven of his first seven games in charge.

His replacement has struggled to make an impact however, winning just one game (at home to SPAL) out of his first six including defeats to Roma, Lazio and Juventus.

Despite this, the general consensus is that there has been a turnaround in performances, with Milan showing bright displays in recent games against Juve and Napoli.

As reported by Gazzetta.it – as cited by MilanNews.it – Pioli can have confidence down the left side of his team, something which can help achieve a turnaround in results too.

It staets with Theo Hernandez, who has been strong since he came back from injury and has snatched the left-back spot from Ricardo Rodriguez.

Then, there is the return of Giacomo Bonaventura – the man that guarantees the necessary quality for the Rossoneri going forward as well as versatility.

Finally, there is the option of using Hakan Calhanoglu – a player who has improved since Pioli’s arrival with a couple of good displays in particular – though it remains to be seen if the head coach can find a formula to fit all three players in.
