GdS: Milan breathe a sigh of relief as Calabria’s injury is ‘nothing serious’

By Isak Möller -

Earlier today, it was revealed that Davide Calabria sustained a muscle injury while training with Italy ahead of the game against Belgium. The full-back will now return to Milanello but some positive updates have arrived.

Initially, the reports only stated that it was a muscle injury but now we have an update on the extent of the injury. As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport, the injury is ‘nothing serious’ and Calabria will soon be back in action.

Milan’s medical team will obviously make their own assessment but the feeling is that the right-back perhaps could be ready for the Hellas Verona clash. A boost for Stefano Pioli’s side, seeing as the vice-captain is in good form.

Calabria missed two games earlier this season due to a muscle injury and we can only hope that this issue won’t be recurring throughout the campaign. Either way, it seems this injury isn’t that serious.
