GdS: Milan do not want to think about Donnarumma exit but two replacements are eyed

By Oliver Fisher -

There are two names on Milan’s list of potential Gianluigi Donnarumma replacements but the club do not want to think about that hypothesis just yet.

Donnarumma’s contract is now less than 100 days from its expiry and the situation becomes more and more urgent as each week passes, as the possibility of losing such a talented player on a free transfer becomes greater.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the issue of Donnarumma’s contract is the most urgent and thorny at Casa Milan at the moment, as his contract with Milan will expire on 30 June. The Diavolo have already identified two possible alternatives should the Italy international leave; namely Pierluigi Gollini of Atalanta and Mike Maignan of Lille.

Despite this, nobody at the club wants to think about the farewell of Donnarumma as losing such a quality young player would not reflect well on the project as a whole.
