AC Milan and Inter are both fighting for the Scudetto but there can only be one winner in the end. Last season, the Nerazzurri came out on top but the Rossoneri are eager to claim their first league title since 2011.
Milanese football is experiencing a very positive moment as both Milan and Inter are fighting at the top, occupying the first two spots in the standings. It’s a much-needed boost for Milanese football after what was several tough years.
As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan and Inter have ended up in the top two spots on seven occasions. In 1950/51, 1961/62, 1992/93 and 2010/11, the Rossoneri managed to finish ahead of their city rivals.
In 1964/65, 1970/71 and 2020/21, however, the Nerazzurri came out on top in the Scudetto race. It remains to be seen if Milan will add a 5th Scudetto win with Inter as the runner-up. It won’t be easy, but they have what it takes to succeed.
