GdS: Milan left with dilemma as penalty struggles continue for Ibrahimovic

By Isak Möller -

Milan claimed three important points yesterday as they beat Bologna by two goals to one away from home. The Rossoneri got two penalties and although Franck Kessie scored his, Zlatan Ibrahimovic didn’t.

As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanLive), the relationship between Ibrahimovic and penalties is now more problematic than expected. Yesterday, as mentioned, he missed his third penalty of the season.

Credit should be given to Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski, but the attempt was in Ibrahimovic’s usual corner and not as good as we are used to. Fortunately, Ante Rebic did well to convert the rebound and give Milan the lead.

After the miss against Hellas Verona, Ibrahimovic had decided to hand over the penalty duties to Franck Kessie, who’s very good from the spot. However, after scoring a penalty against Cagliari, he wanted to try again.

It was wise of the Swede to hand over the ball to Kessie for the second penalty, as the Ivorian showed how it should be done with an ice-cool penalty. But now Milan face a dilemma, should Ibrahimovic get another chance from the spot?
