GdS: Milan are well prepared for life without Kessie – one signing in mind

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie is expected to leave AC Milan at the end of the season as his contract will expire then. The Rossoneri have made a hefty renewal offer for the midfielder who, however, is asking for too much.

The Ivorian midfielder has been an important player for Milan over the last few years, warranting a pay rise from the current salary he has. However, the parties have been unable to reach an agreement due to the excessive demands of the player.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are already prepared for Kessie’s exit. The likes of Yacine Adli and Tommaso Pobega will return from their respective loan spell this summer and a signing is also expected.

Renato Sanches is at the top of the Rossoneri’s wish list, per the newspaper, and he wants to leave Lille ahead of next season. It remains to be seen what the outcome of the situation will be but it’s clear that Milan won’t be caught off guard if Kessie leaves on a free transfer.

  1. We have Pobega, Tonali, Bennacer confirmed. Adli can play that area too if needed.

if we do get diaz and messias, both of them are good to cover all positions

    1. Messias can’t really cover that, Diaz couldn’t in his dreams. But you need at least 5 players for the double pivot to play in 3 competitions. And we might move to a more of a 4 3 3 with those players.
