GdS: Milan secure signing of Dalot from Man Utd – all the details of the transfer

By Isak Möller -

Milan have secured another signing and this time for the defence. However, not for the centre-back role that the Rossoneri so desperately need to reinforce, rather the flanks.

As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Milan have reached an agreement with Man Utd over Diogo Dalot. The full-back, who can play on either side, will arrive on a dry loan with any particular fees.

In other words, not a ‘real’ signing per se as the newspaper points out, at least not yet. Roma were also interested in the player and held talks with the English side, but at the last minute Milan took the lead in the race.

Dalot mainly plays on the right-hand side but can also fill in for Theo Hernandez, as mentioned already. In Stefano Pioli’s plans, both the Portuguese and Calabria could be useful on the left and eventually replace Theo whenever the latter needs rest.
