GdS: Milan toothless in attack and De Ketelaere failed to make it his night

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan lost 2-1 against Fiorentina last night after what was a rather poor performance in both phases of the game. However, the Rossoneri’s attacking issues are painfully clear, as a report writes.

Today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews) put a lot of focus on Milan’s attacking play last night. The defence wasn’t tremendous either, but in that instance Fiorentina also deserve credit for their creative style.

Charles De Ketelaere had a couple of good moments, such as the cross for Junior Messias, but he never got on target unlike his colleagues. Olivier Giroud had two decent shots, Ante Rebic had one and Zlatan Ibrahimovic had one.

The Belgian was never close to his first goal, therefore, and he failed to make it his night. The only positive that can be taken away from the game, as the newspaper concludes, is the performance of Mike Maignan and the tremendous goal by Theo Hernandez.
