GdS: Milan want at least €10m to part ways with Adli – the situation

By Isak Möller -

Yacine Adli struggled to get playing time this past season and as a result, he could say goodbye to AC Milan. However, it’s not certain that he will leave on a permanent basis, a report claims.

Adli was initially signed back in the summer of 2021 for €8m but the Rossoneri agreed to leave him at Bordeaux for one more season. After joining the club properly last summer, however, the midfielder got just 140 minutes of playing time.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (read the full article here), Adli is one of the players that could leave Milan this summer. In order for it to be a permanent transfer, though, the Rossoneri want at least €10m.

The most likely outcome, for now, seems to be a season-long loan elsewhere for him to regain some confidence and try to show his qualities. After that, Milan can make a final decision on whether they should use him in the first team or not.

    1. He doesn’t fit to Pioli’s tactics. There must have been some kind of misundersteanding between Pioli and M&M duet while they were signing him and he finally returned from a loan to Milan.

      1. See all this you people are saying is just wrong Adli can not cope with Acmilan present football he is not fast not even penetrative yet you call him an attacking midfield is too poor he cannot adapt Acmilan need strong players in that role since Diaz is not available Acmilan can play him because most of our opponents are tactical and deadly so we need players like, kamanda, samardzic,Ardan fuller or Thiago Amanda those players can fit Acmilan style and bring solid results you don’t expect.acmilan have finally sign kamanda that’s good we need sardmardzic and one of fuller or almanda

        1. He didn’t even play the full 90 minutes of a game. 140 minutes is all he got in the whole season, so I think it is too less to judge a player on.

          1. Agreed @Doki. Seems they are the victims of an internal power struggle that brewed between Pioli and Maldini. Shame. That or Moncada was 100% wrong on each of those transfers lol. I think the former is more likely

  1. Well he didn’t do anything wrong, he was probably the choice of Maldini. Same goes for CDK(probably Vrankx as well), thats why they are warming the bench. Atleast that what I think is happening surrounding the whole shenanigans that is happening right now and all the stories.

    1. Then what about Thiaw? As Thiaw is a defender, it is more likely that Maldini has more role in the choosing, unlike CDK/Adli whom Maldini relied more on Moncada’s recommendation.

        1. And Thiaw also made mistake just like CDK also made mistake, but CDK was benched while Thiaw remain.

This is not about Pioli vs Maldini, they had lunch together just few days after the sacking.

  2. Please Cardinale please don’t sell kalulu is a player that is ready to advanced he is better than tomori he can support Hernandez in left back can support Calabria infact tactical and good in the centre back i rate him in comparison with Hernandez Calabria, Kjaer, thiaw

  3. That don’t we should sell he bcos the coach nva gv he the opportunity to play, the transfer market for Milan is not moving the way we expected from the board as is stand we nid creavity midfield n right wing

  4. They use analytics to decide WHEN to sell players.

Just for compare: Juventus bought Vlahovic for maybe 80 million, and he did not provide with enough goals this season? Question is who will give Juventus 80 million for him?
If player get injured, or dropped his quality in short period of time, like De Ketelaere, what will you do with that player, specifically if he have big salary…

Now rumour is that Cardinale wants to sacrifice Theo Hernandez. 80 million is wanted price.

We can see how Theo played massive numbers of games last season with much more minutes. He scored and assists less. That could be because Pioli instructions, or maybe he reach already full potential.

So Theo if ever going to be sold for requested 80 million, is this now ?

But then if we going to sell when analytics says, when are we going to have winning team ???

  5. Sell him if you like. none will really cry for him tbh but how can you sell a player for “at least 10 mil” when you used him to worm the bench for a year

  6. Seeing the talent he has, it’s hard to let him leave San Siro, just because Pioli doesn’t like him and doesn’t give him more opportunities for Adli.,Best for Adli

  7. Adil value probably have plummeted to $2-3M due to too little playing time. Poli salary needs to be deducted for causing Milan massive valuation loss. Lol

  8. Adli is a victim of the 3 players for 1 position rule that everyone seems to think is so essential to modern football (except for Man City that has a senior squad of 24 v Milan’s 30).

The 3:1 rule cost us Cristante (when we signed Essien we made him a 3rd choice) and Locatelli (who was buried behind Biglia and Montolivo (god rest his soul)).

But probably the most hilarious (as in tragic) example was when the club kept signing strikers to block Cutrone and Cutrone kept outscoring and performing them, so the club just sold him anyway to….erm….make money by selling a player and then spending more money signing new players….

That is all in the past but it’s be good if we could learn from it. If a 24 man squad is good enough for Man City then it needs to be good enough for Milan!

    Players need room to breath.
