GdS: Milan’s attack could undergo overhaul – two strikers targeted as well as Giroud

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan may yet have to almost rebuild their attack as they await news of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s recovery, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport writes how the conservative therapies on Ibrahimovic’s injured left knee have not so far brought the hoped-for improvements, and this could result in a change in strategy from the management if he will face a long period out.

Only two players in the current forward department are 100% sure of staying: Ibra and Alexis Saelemaekers. Ante Rebic and Rade Krunic are almost certian to remain, but Samu Castillejo and Rafael Leao face uncertain futures amid admirers in LaLiga and the Premier League respectively.

Maldini and Massara are waiting for Giroud to free himself from Chelsea but in the meantime they are investigating other profiles, because possible surgery on Ibra’s knee would require the purchase of another centre-forward. Arkadiusz Milik of Marseille and Sasa Kalajdzic are the names circulated in recent days, but both are at the Euros which slows things down.
