GdS: Milan’s decisive summit with Rangnick – three key topics on the agenda

By Isak Möller -

Very soon, Ralf Rangnick will define the project for AC Milan with the top management of Elliott, above all regarding three key topics. If there was any doubt before, the German now seems destined to take over the club.

As reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), the Rossoneri have scheduled a meeting with Rangnick which will take place soon. The Coronavirus has ‘frozen’ everything, forcing the parties to postpone a summit that was planned.

In recent weeks, however, contacts (strictly in conference calls, in the presence of Gazidis and Giorgio Furlani, manager of Elliott) have been frequent. They have talked about several things, from the potential head coach (Nagelsmann?) to the mercato budget.

Initially, Elliott had made €100m available for the summer window, but the Coronavirus crisis has resulted in savings and thus the budget has decreased to €75m, plus half of the money obtained from sales.

With regards to Rangnick’s staff, it’s yet to be decided. The manager wants to choose his co-workers alone and has asked for the go-ahead to bring in eight men (at least three Italians) to his staff. In short, it will be a decisive face to face, or rather, a clarifier.
