AC Milan are on the hunt for Hakan Calhanoglu’s replacement and have identified their number one target, according to a report.
As reported by today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri management continue to consider Ziyech the most suitable profile to fill the gap left by Calhanoglu’s exit.
The Morocco international is the favoured target because he has already shown he can play as a No.10 and also because he has Champions League experience both with Chelsea and with his former club Ajax.
We spoke to a Chelsea insider Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com about a number of different topics including Olivier Giroud’s future, Fikayo Tomori’s exit and the possibility of Tiemoue Bakayoko returning, and we also asked about whether Ziyech could really join Milan. He described it as a ‘very difficult and ambitious’ pursuit for the Diavolo, but did suggest that late in the window there could be some movement.
