GdS: Pioli welcomes back key pieces as Milan look for revenge in Bologna

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s attentions have turned back to Serie A after the latest setback in the Champions League, and Saturday night’s trip to Bologna is next on the agenda.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), head coach Stefano Pioli should be able to welcome back winger Ante Rebic after he missed the trip to Porto while Franck Kessie will also be back too after his suspension. Having the Croatian available again is fundamental for the balance of the attack, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now also ready to contribute more too.

The attack is therefore in better shape than it was at the Estadio do Dragao, and while awaiting Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz’s negative Covid tests Pioli will at least recover Kessie, who was suspended for the Champions League game and should be fresh.

The Ivorian is ready to take back his place in the middle of the field and it will be important to try to cement Milan’s advantage over their rivals, while Bakayoko also returned in Porto.

  1. Ibra will never be at100% in eage. He should be playing 30-35 minutes all the match he’s old enough. No team can give Ibra complete 90minutes in All elite team except milan
