GdS: Pioli’s future with Milan is clear as both parties agree on next step

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli reached 100 games in charge of AC Milan last night and it’s safe to say that it has been a successful journey for him. He got to celebrate with a 4-2 win against Bologna which, however, wasn’t perfect.

The manager has won 56 games of the 100 in charge and he has an average of 1.93 points per game. If you count penalty shootout wins (which the official site doesn’t), then it’s 58 wins for the former Fiorentina boss.

Ahead of the game last night, sporting director Ricky Massara spoke about Pioli’s future (read in full here) and made the club’s intentions very clear: “There is great harmony and we are convinced that we will continue with him,” he stated. In other words, both parties know what the next step is.

As reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the signature might not be there just yet. However, this is nothing to worry about as the parties will sit down in due course and sort the situation. They want to continue together, that is very certain.
