GdS: Probable Milan XI for important Verona clash – Trio returns as Krunic gets the nod

By Isak Möller -

After what was a disappointing performance against Udinese, resulting in a 1-1 draw, Milan need to redeem themselves tomorrow afternoon. However, it won’t be easy as they will take on Hellas Verona, who are in red-hot form.

Compared to the game mid-week, Stefano Pioli will make a total of four changes to the starting XI, per Gazzetta Dello Sport (via SempreMilan). Fikayo Tomori, Davide Calabria and Alexis Saelemaekers will all be back after getting some rest last time out.

The midfield will stay the same with Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie linking up, hoping to carry the team tomorrow. Both have been in very good form recently and they will be crucial in tomorrow’s clash.

Instead of Brahim Diaz, who we didn’t see much of against Udinese, Rade Krunic will get the nod in the trequartista position. The Bosnian will add some physical presence to the team, which could be very important for this game.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Krunic, Rebic; Leao.

  1. Use 433 with Kessie as DMC. Krunic and Meite as Mezzala. Rebic-Leao-Saelemaker. Back up : Hauge & Diaz on the wing. If it doesn’t work, use 442 with Rebic & Leao as duo strikers. Hauge as LM or drag Theo as LM and Romag as LB
