GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Inter – Rebic ahead of Leao; seven changes

By Isak Möller -

Milan are currently preparing for what will be one of the biggest derbies in several years, with both sides sitting at the top of Serie A. The winner takes first place, as well as a very important morale boost.

The Rossoneri have struggled a bit as of late and a win tomorrow afternoon would be a huge boost for them, while it would also inevitably hurt Inter. The latter are the favourites for this clash, but that isn’t always an advantage in derbies.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo), Stefano Pioli will make quite a few changes to the starting XI, having fielded many back-ups mid-week. The likes of Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Franck Kessie, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and more will be back from start.

As for Inter, it’s the starting XI you would expect, with Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku up front in the 3-5-2 formation. Unlike Milan, with Ismael Bennacer, they don’t have any of their starters unavailable for this clash.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.

Probable Inter XI (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Hakimi, Barella, Brozovic, Eriksen, Perisic; Lautaro, Lukaku.
