AC Milan will take on Roma tomorrow evening and based on the latest reports, Stefano Pioli has decided to opt for consistency when it comes to the starting XI. Charles De Ketelaere, as such, will not play from start.
After his appearance off the bench against Salernitana, some perhaps expected De Ketelaere to start against Roma tomorrow evening. However, Brahim Diaz also did well and Pioli has decided that the Spaniard is better suited for the game.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below), the manager won’t make any changes to the XI we saw against Salernitana. Given how well Milan played at times in that game, one can certainly understand Pioli’s reasoning.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Hernandez; Bennacer, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Giroud.
The game is scheduled for 20:45 and as Napoli lost against Inter, it’s another crucial clash in the Scudetto race for Milan. Napoli will face Sampdoria earlier in the evening tomorrow and will be able to put pressure on the Rossoneri.
Can we please get a REAL CAM?
Brahim has his moments, sure. But he disappears most of the game. The thing is people only remember the 20 minutes he was useful and conveniently ignore the 70 he does nothing.
It boggles the mind to think we have to go into a CL rd16 (and hopefully further) with Brahim and Saladmaker as starters.
