GdS: RedBird banking on Milan to become a constant in European competitions

By Isak Möller -

RedBird and Gerry Cardinale have very ambitious plans for Milan, from the stadium project to the constant improvement of the squad, and European competitions are at the helm. This was highlighted by Gazzetta dello Sport this morning.

The pink newspaper (see photo below), after Milan drew Roma for the Europa League quarters, decided to focus on the two American ownerships this morning. Indeed, while the league is important as well, there are many positive effects from being a constant in European competitions.

The Europa League is not comparable with the Champions League, in terms of wealth and above all revenue, but the competition is still well-watched in the United States. Premier League remains the most popular league, with Serie A in its shadow, and that’s why European competitions fill an important function.

In the global expansion project of the two clubs, certain European matches have much more weight than the league. They guarantee more visibility, and visibility guarantees appeal and revenue. The basics of business.

Furthermore, winning the Europa League would also bring in around €40m in total. For Milan, European success would fuel the revenue and this would help them even more in the Middle East mission. Indeed, the club would be more appealing to investors.

  1. Now our management are getting it so now in the squad improvement we need leao deputy pulisic deputy then Okafor and jovic will be our striker then we need 2 more pure attacking midfield and a central defender sell tomori to Bayern Munich

    1. Nope. Okafor is a deputy to Leão, Jovic will probably be sold, Giround doesn’t have enough juice in his bones. so signing a striker is mandatory. Sell tomori? Totally disagree.
