As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport this morning (via MilanNews.it), ahead of the derby between AC Milan and Inter this evening, only two Italians have scored in the last ten clashes between the city rivals: one from each team.
The long-awaited game, which is expected to be a very exciting one given the rivalry, will kick off at 20:45 Italy time. In the last ten meetings between the two sides, Candreva and Romagnoli are the only Italians to have scored, which the newspaper highlights.
The Nerazzurri winger has scored two goals in these meetings, becoming what many would describe as a ghost for the Rossoneri, given that he has managed to score even during difficult seasons.
Of course, Romagnoli’s goal came in the famous 2-2 victory, in which Milan scored a 97th-minute equaliser through Zapata. The captain’s goal in the 83rd minute was the start of it all, and hopefully, he can get on the scoresheet once more this evening.
