Theo Hernandez is on the verge of extending his contract with AC Milan and this is great news for the fans. While some renewal negotiations have been very difficult, this hasn’t been the case here.
The left-back, despite his position, is one of the most prolific players at Milan with four goals and seven assists. Lately, he has also been allowed to wear the captain’s armband and we have seen some great displays from him.
According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri are expected to officially announce the renewal of Hernandez very soon. The contract has been signed and the new deadline is until 2026, with a salary of €4m plus bonuses per year.
That’s a significant increase from the current €1.5m per year, but it’s hard to argue against the new salary given his performances. Since he joined the club for €20m in 2019, his price tag has increased to €50m, per the newspaper.
The paper also adds that the renewals of Ismael Bennacer and Rafael Leao are in the pipeline as well, set to sign until 2026 like Hernandez.

Good news. It’s nice to have players like Theo who respect Milan history and keep their pride as Milan player above money.
Isn’t it time to start playing with 3 defenders and finally convert Theo into a midfielder? He is not a defender but a player of attack line.
