Three clubs are interested in AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira.
As per MilanNews.it, the Turkey international may struggle for game time this season as he is currently behind Lucas Paqueta in the pecking order.
La Gazzetta dello Sport recently stated that a return to Germany could be on the cards for Calhanoglu, who has several admirers in the Bundesliga.
It then emerged earlier on Sunday from the same source that a stay in Italy may also be on the cards as Torino have ‘entered talks’ over a deal for the former Leverkusen man.
Now, Gazzetta journalist Nicolo Schira has given an update on Calhanoglu’s future via his Twitter account, confirming that three clubs are in the running to land him.
He confirms that there is interest from Schalke and Leipzig in Germany, plus Torino, however Calhanoglu has no intentions of leaving Milan and instead wants to stay.
Schira adds that Marco Giampaolo will play the him as a regista against Udinese in a new role that could potentially revive his career with the Rossoneri.
